POWER SPORTS MECHANIC

Job Title:  Power Sports Mechanic
 
Main Duties:
  • Provide scheduled maintenance service.
  • Provide repair/service cost estimates.
  • Advise customers on work performed and conditions of repair.
  • Review work orders and listen to engines, examine vehicle frames, or confer with the Service Manager, other Mechanics, or customers to determine the nature and extent of malfunction or damage.
  • Perform preliminary inspections such as measuring engine outputs and ignition timing, checking tire pressure and condition.
  • Dismantle and repair or replace parts as necessary. Including motorcycle subassemblies, such as forks, transmissions, brakes, or drive chains, according to specifications; and other parts, such as headlights, horns, handlebar controls, gasoline or oil tanks, starters, or mufflers.
  • Reassemble all subassembly units, equipment frames and reinstall engines after repair.
  • Test mechanical equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Other mechanical duties as required.
 
Requirements:
  • Completion of high school and 2 years of vocational or trade school, or apprenticeship program.
  • Vocational course in motorcycle repair is an asset.
  • 3-4 years of repair experience in motorcycles or motor power products.
 
$35 per hour
Full-time, Permanent, 40 hours per week
4% vacation pay, Extended medical, dental, vision care after 3 months
Language of work is English.
Start date: As soon as possible
