Description
Honda CRF450RL Dual Sport Motorcycle : Price includes Inbound Freight and PDI but not Taxes
The Honda CRF450RL is a dual-sport bike that’s truly versatile, on-road and off. When it comes to offering a stellar performance without compromise, it all starts with a six-speed transmission and excellent chassis geometry. The CRF450RL is also impressively light and nimble for such a strong performer. |

ENGINE & DRIVETRAIN
|
Engine_&_Drivetrain
Dynamic Performance
With a heavier crankshaft than used in the full-race CRF450R, you'll enjoy 13% more inertia from the Unicam engine, which means an even stronger feeling of torque when you twist the throttle.
|
True Street Legal Dirtbike
The CRF450RL uses the CRF450R motocrosser as a starting point, then adds everything required to make it fully road-worthy. From the CRF450R base, the frame was made slightly wider to allow for the 6-speed transmission, the engine was tuned for smoother power delivery, and the suspension and brakes were modified to make the bike more user friendly on tight trails and on the road.
|
Extra Durability
The CRF450RL’s Unicam engine shares the same bore and stroke as the CRF450R, but durability is improved thanks to the piston using three rings instead of one.
|
Wide-Ratio Transmission
The CRF450RL rocks a wide-ratio six-speed gearbox. That gives you a low gear perfect for tight, slow situations, and a top gear that’s tall enough to ride the highway to the next trailhead.
|
Built for the Long Run
You’ll find Honda build quality in every component of the CRF450RL’s engine, which translates into a real-world service schedule of 32,000 km between major engine maintenance, and air filter and oil filter change required only every 1,000 km.

CHASSIS & SUSPENSION

Showa Spring Fork
The 49 mm Showa fork features a conventional spring design that helps increase the CRF450RL’s front-suspension precision, handling and feel. The spring rate provides better bottoming resistance and improved handling.
|
Twin-Spar Chassis
The twin-spar aluminum frame is both light and stiff, and provides the basis for the CRF450RL’s excellent handling, making it a true off-road bike. Chassis geometry is specially engineered for responsiveness on even tight trails.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES
|
Additional_Features
Fuel Mileage Meter
An important feature for planning gas stops and calculating your bike’s range under varying conditions, the CRF450RL’s fuel mileage meter shows current fuel mileage and average mileage as well as consumption. Displays in either kilometres or miles, and applies to both the A and B tripmeters. The meter is in the same digital instrument display as the speedometer, odometer, tripmeters and digital clock.
|
Lightweight LED Lighting
The CRF450RL features an all-LED lighting package — including the headlight — to help keep weight as low as possible. The lighting pattern is specially designed for both on-road and off-road situations.
|
Alloy Sidestand
A sidestand may seem like no big thing, but take a look at the one on the CRF450RL. Tucked up high and out of the way, this forged alloy piece is just another example of how the CRF450RL gets it right.
|
Hand Guards
When the going gets extra tough, you’ll appreciate the hand guards on the CRF450RL.
|
Electric Fan
The CRF450RL is a “ride anywhere” type of bike, and because conditions vary so widely, we’ve equipped it with a light electric fan for the radiator. It helps keep your engine running cool even in the tightest single track on the hottest days.
|
Dual Radiators
The CRF450RL’s dual radiators feature a refined core area for superior heat dissipation compared with conventional dual-radiator designs. A coolant recovery tank is located in front of the engine between the frame downtubes for improved center of mass, and the tank is protected by a plastic skid plate.
